Softball Recap: Princeton Takes a Loss

Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to the Tell City Marksmen. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Marksmen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Princeton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kimberlyn Wood, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that Wood has snagged this season.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Tell City, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Princeton will challenge Tecumseh at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tell City, they will venture away from home to challenge Springs Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
