Basketball Recap: Southwest Guilford Takes a Loss

The Southwest Guilford Cowboys didn't have quite enough to beat the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles on Saturday and fell 62-60.

Southwest Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Southwest Guilford will challenge Southeast Guilford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cowboys' defense better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 57 points per game this season. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they will take on Athens Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee is facing Athens Christian at the right time seeing as Athens Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
