Baseball Recap: Crespi Takes a Loss

Crespi extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 5-15. They lost 12-5 to the Chaminade Eagles. The Celts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

As for Chaminade, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Considering they have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Chaminade's part, Ryan Johnson got the start for Chaminade and what a start it was: he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Johnson has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chaminade got a massive performance out of Bronson Jackson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Jackson has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Hearn, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Chaminade beat Crespi by a score of 7-0 on Wednesday.
