Soccer Recap: Maryville Christian Takes a Loss

Maryville Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 5-2 to the Rockwood Tigers. The contest was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but Maryville Christian couldn't quite close it out.

Mason Brown and Will Turner scored both of Maryville Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Maryville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Rockwood, their record is now 3-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Maryville Christian will square off against rival Knoxville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rockwood is set to challenge their familiar foe Harriman at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
