NCSSM: Durham hadn't done well against Carrboro recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Unicorns enjoyed a cozy 65-48 victory over the Jaguars. The win was just business as usual for the Unicorns, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

NCSSM: Durham's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alex Caza led the charge by dropping a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Caza has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Mostafa Abdelbarr was another key player, going 9-for-16 to rack up 23 points and three steals.

Carrboro's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Henry Brooks, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Jake McGrath, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

NCSSM: Durham's record is now 5-0.

NCSSM: Durham has already played their next game, an 83-77 victory against Voyager Academy on the 18th. As for Carrboro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-46 defeat against East Chapel Hill on the 21st.
