Recap: Omaha Nation Chiefs vs. Tri County Northeast Wolfpack
The Omaha Nation Chiefs were the 72-67 winner over the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Omaha Nation fell to Tri County Northeast 38-33. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Omaha Nation has scored all season.
Tri County Northeast's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hunter Heikes, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 20 rebounds. Heikes has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Jackson Belt was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Omaha Nation and nudges their season record down to 8-14. As for Tri County Northeast, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10.
Omaha Nation does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tri County Northeast's road trip will continue as they head out to face Stanton on February 16th. Tri County Northeast is facing Stanton at the right time seeing as Stanton is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
