Volleyball Recap: Phoenix Academy Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Phoenix Academy had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Piedmont Classical on Thursday. The Firebirds blew past the Bobcats 3-0. The Firebirds not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 19, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Phoenix Academy's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Piedmont Classical, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Phoenix Academy and Piedmont Classical will both be playing Leadership Academy the next time they take the court. The Firebirds will host the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Bobcats will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
