Volleyball Recap: Ripon Takes a Loss

Ripon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison East Purgolders. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Purgolders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Anna Buchholz paced Ripon's offense, picking up nine kills. Buchholz got some help from Adele Minor and her 19 assists. Emma Resop controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Ripon now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Madison East, the win snapped their losing streak at ten matches and leaves them with a 6-18 record.

Ripon has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Stoughton on the 27th. As for Madison East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Cambridge on the 27th.
