Preview: Crowley Gent vs. St. Martinville Tigers

Crowley is 2-7 against St. Martinville since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Crowley Gent will head out on the road to challenge the St. Martinville Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Crowley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

Last Thursday, Crowley strolled past Notre Dame with points to spare, taking the game 48-31.

Meanwhile, St. Martinville scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Abbeville for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-42 win on the road. The score was close at the half, but St. Martinville pulled away in the second half with 47 points.

Makharee Narcisse continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristian Batiste, who scored 13 points along with two steals.

Crowley's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. As for St. Martinville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-17.

Crowley barely slipped by St. Martinville when the teams last played back in January, winning 44-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crowley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
