Softball Recap: North Baltimore Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

North Baltimore won the last time they faced Perry and things went their way on Monday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Commodores. Considering the Tigers have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Brynlee Schmidt made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Jessica Trout was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Layla Delancy was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

North Baltimore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Perry only posted a batting average of .190.

North Baltimore pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Perry, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
