Volleyball Recap: Alvin Comes Up Short

Alvin's tournament run continued when they took on Davenport on Thursday. The Yellowjackets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amanda Romero paced Alvin's offense, picking up three kills. Romero got some help from Hayleigh Griffin and her five assists.

Leading Davenport to victory were Kylie Dahl and Dakota Hart. Dahl had nine digs and three assists, while Hart had five digs.

Alvin's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Davenport, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Alvin has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Tournament Opponent on the 22nd. As for Davenport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against La Grange on the 22nd.
