Telluride waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Norwood Mavericks with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Tuesday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Telluride took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-15.

Telluride was led to victory by Lillyann Mahoney and Hazel Noel. Mahoney had 21 assists and eight digs, while Noel had ten digs and ten assists. That's the most assists Mahoney has posted since back in October of 2024.

Telluride's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Norwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Telluride will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mancos at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Norwood, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Nucla on the 16th.
