Soccer Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Princeton

There's no place like home for Princeton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Eastern Wayne Warriors 3-2. Even though Princeton got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Makenna Hoffman was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Macie Allison was the driving force of Princeton's attack as she scored all three of Princeton's goals, bringing her season total up to 21 goals.

Princeton's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five contests. As for Eastern Wayne, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3-1.

Princeton wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 5-1 win against Goldsboro on the 8th. As for Eastern Wayne, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Spring Creek on the 8th.
