Football Recap: Beverly Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Beverly can now relate to. They lost 20-0 to the Billerica Memorial Indians on Friday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Beverly's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Billerica Memorial, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Beverly will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Salem at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th. As for Billerica Memorial, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bridgewater-Raynham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Indians' offense will have their work cut out for them.
