Game recap

Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) extended its winning streak to six games with a 21-0 victory over Servite (Anaheim, Calif.) on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Ryan Wolpin in the second quarter, the Eagles led 7-0 at the half.

Santa Margarita expanded its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. SM's lone score in the quarter came on a Wolpin touchdown run.

Wolpin stood out for the Rancho Santa Margarita school in the win. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 13 touchdowns on the season.

The Eagles had given up an average of 9.4 points prior to the contest.

The victory will ease some of the sting of Santa Margarita's close 43-42 loss to the Friars last season.

The loss comes after Servite defeated St. Paul 24-0 last week.

In a Trinity game next week Santa Margarita (6-0) takes on Mater Dei, and Servite (2-4) will go up against Orange Lutheran also in a Trinity game.
