Soccer Game Preview: Pace vs. Tate

Pace is 0-10 against Tate since November of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Patriots will look to defend their home pitch against the Aggies at 7:30 p.m. Pace is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.

Pace came up short against Navarre on Tuesday, falling 4-1. Jaxon LeMay was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Pace's goal came courtesy of Ziad Benrkia, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Tate made easy work of West Florida on Wednesday and carried off a 5-1 victory. Tate might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by four goals or more this season.

Tate is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 5-1-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four matches. As for Pace, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1.

Pace suffered a grim 8-5 defeat to Tate in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Patriots were down 5-1.
