Softball Game Preview: Pendleton Buckaroos vs. Vale Vikings

The Pendleton Buckaroos will head out on the road to take on the Vale Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Pendleton's victory against Baker/Powder Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Buckaroos had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 9-7. The win continues a trend for the Buckaroos in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Vale's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Friday. Everything went their way against Enterprise/Joseph as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won nine contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Vale's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Pendleton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Pendleton came up short against Vale in their previous matchup on April 9th, falling 5-2. Can the Buckaroos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
