Volleyball Recap: Perry County Central Comes Up Short

Perry County Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clay County Tigers. The Commodores were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Perry County Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Clay County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-14.

Looking ahead, Perry County Central will face off against Wolfe County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clay County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Berea on the 4th.
