West Side was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against McDermitt on Saturday. The Pirates put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 65-41 win. The contest marked the Pirates' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Drake Sage had a dynamite game, going 7-for-16 to rack up 18 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. He also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Jaden Fuller was another key player, putting up 11 points.

When it comes to explaining why McDermitt lost, don't look at Shandon Camas. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 17 points and 15 boards. That was a full 41.5% of the Bulldogs' points, marking the fourth time in a row Camas has posted more than a third of the team's points.

West Side's record is now 4-2. As for McDermitt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

West Side and Ririe will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for McDermitt, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Owyhee at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026. The matchup will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
