Basketball Recap: South Gwinnett Comes Up Short

South Gwinnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Grayson Rams, falling 79-54. The Comets lost against the Rams in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 74-22 score last time.

South Gwinnett's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Grayson, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Gwinnett will host Rockdale County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grayson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Newton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grayson is on a 15-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Newton a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
