Volleyball Game Preview: Gompers Prep Academy Eagles vs. Castle Park Trojans

The Gompers Prep Academy Eagles will square off against the Castle Park Trojans at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Gompers Prep Academy saw some tournament action last Saturday. They fell just short of St. Joseph Academy by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Castle Park didn't have quite enough to beat San Diego Academy on Monday and fell 3-2. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Castle Park ultimately came up short, they really made San Diego Academy work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 19-25, 22-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Gompers Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Castle Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Gompers Prep Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Castle Park in their previous matchup last Saturday, winning 2-0. Does Gompers Prep Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Castle Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
