Basketball Recap: St. Mary Takes Down Harding County in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, St. Mary rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Harding County Ranchers by a score of 61-50. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Several Ranchers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kamry Padden, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Macey Wendt, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.

St. Mary's record now sits at 18-6. As for Harding County, the loss snapped their winning streak at 21 games and leaves them with a 21-1 record.

St. Mary has already played their next match, a 45-43 defeat against Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on the 14th. As for Harding County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-48 loss against Lyman on the 14th.
