Football Recap: Eisenhower Comes Up Short

Eisenhower was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 32-28 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northwest Classen Knights. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Eisenhower saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tellas Weaver rushed for 131 yards and three scores. Those 131 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Weaver. Daviion Brewer was another key player, picking up 92 receiving yards and one TD.

Eisenhower's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Northwest Classen, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Eisenhower will square off against rival Choctaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Northwest Classen is set to face off against their familiar foe Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
