Volleyball Recap: Humphreys Able Charter Comes Up Short

Humphreys Able Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lodi Academy Titans, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Titans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss last Monday.

While Humphreys Able Charter was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lodi Academy's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-20.

Leading Lodi Academy to victory were Cedric Johnson and Han Rocky. Johnson had seven digs and two aces, while Rocky had ten digs. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times he's played.

Humphreys Able Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lodi Academy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Humphreys Able Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. After both having extra time off, Lodi Academy and Bradshaw Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
