Baseball Recap: Biggsville West Central Comes Up Short

Biggsville West Central lost against Galva back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Heat lost 7-1 to the Wildcats. The Heat have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aiden Todd was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits.

At the plate, Biggsville West Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Eisnnicher, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Biggsville West Central's record now sits at 6-19. As for Galva, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.

Looking ahead, Biggsville West Central will be playing at home against Abingdon/Avon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Heat's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tornadoes have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Galva, they will challenge Peoria Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
