Preview: Glen Lake Lakers vs. Frankfort Panthers
Glen Lake has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Frankfort Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Glen Lake gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Buckley 68-48. Given Glen Lake's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Bears are ranked 352nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jacob Plamondon, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Dylan Cundiff was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Frankfort earned a 64-51 win over the Norsemen on Tuesday.
Glen Lake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Frankfort, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Glen Lake was able to grind out a solid victory over the Panthers in their previous matchup back in January, winning 56-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Glen Lake since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
