Baseball Game Preview: Friday Harbor Wolverines vs. Darrington Loggers

For the second straight game, Friday Harbor will face off against Darrington. The Wolverines will welcome the Loggers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Friday Harbor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Friday Harbor beat Darrington 6-1. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Loggers: they've now won four in a row.

Jackson Feliz spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 16 Ks. Friday Harbor is 4-1 when Feliz allows two or fewer earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Henry Pope was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Marcos Soto was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Friday Harbor's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Darrington, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
