Preview: Quaker Valley Quakers vs. Shenango Wildcats
The Quaker Valley Quakers will head out on the road to face off against the Shenango Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Pennsylvania (Quaker Valley is ranked 275th, while Shenango is ranked 289th).
Quaker Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 68-53 to Montour. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Quaker Valley in their matchups with Montour: they've now lost three in a row.
Joey Coyle put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 25 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Washington, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Shenango came up short against Ellwood City on Saturday and fell 60-47. Shenango has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Quaker Valley now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Shenango, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
