Volleyball Recap: Plattsmouth Takes a Loss

Plattsmouth lost against Wahoo back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blue Devils fell 3-1 to the Warriors. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Plattsmouth started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-13, 25-13, 25-14.

Piper Fitzpatrick paced Plattsmouth's offense, picking up 11 kills. Fitzpatrick got some help from Addison Robinson and her 12 assists. Rosie Sanchez controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Leading Wahoo to victory were Faith Davis and Elena Estudillo. Davis had 16 digs and two aces, while Estudillo had 25 digs and three assists. Those 16 digs gave Davis a new career-high.

Plattsmouth's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Wahoo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-14.

Plattsmouth didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Auburn on the 21st. As for Wahoo, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Thayer Central on the 18th.
