Volleyball Recap: Bennett Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Bennett had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Strasburg Indians on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

While Bennett was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-15, 25-11.

Abigail Thornton paced Bennett's offense, picking up five kills. Thornton got some help from Emilee Venneberg and her eight assists.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bennett will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on The Pinnacle at 6:00 p.m. on September 8. As for Strasburg, they will challenge Limon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
