Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only La Vega walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 56-33 margin over the China Spring Cougars on Thursday. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Angela Carroll was her usual excellent self, going 6-for-9 to rack up 16 points. Cra'Lajah Bradley was another key player, putting up four points along with nine steals and six rebounds.

La Vega smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 22 consecutive games.

La Vega is on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 23 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points over those games. China Spring's loss dropped their record down to 20-17.
