Football Recap: Buford Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Buford's offense. They took a blow against the Andrew Jackson Volunteers on Friday, falling 49-0. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Volunteers are ranked 87th).

Andrew Jackson had a senior duo take command as Damias Seegars gained 104 total yards and four touchdowns and Logan Neal threw for 141 yards and three TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes. Neal's passing game has become a key predictor of the Volunteers' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 3-4 otherwise.

Buford is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. As for Andrew Jackson, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Buford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Andrew Jackson, they will square off against Ninety Six at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Volunteers will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
