The Mustangs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wildcats 40-0. That 40 point margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.
Sunrise Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Russell, who rushed for 33 yards and two scores, and also picked up 57 receiving yards and one TD. Tanner Austin was another key player, gaining 80 total yards and a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Sunrise Mountain's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Preston Carney was especially locked on to Willow Canyon's QB and sacked him twice.
