Football Recap: Zillah Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Zillah was feeling good fresh off their 61-0 takedown of Kiona-Benton last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Leopards took a blow against the Cashmere Bulldogs on Friday, falling 35-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Leopards of the 35-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Beau Donahoe threw for 211 yards and one TD. Dekker Van De Graaf was his top target, picking up 29 receiving yards.

Rylan Hatmaker was nothing short of spectacular for Cashmere: he rushed for 60 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries, and also threw for 144 yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance also gave Hatmaker a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Zillah's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Cashmere, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Zillah will square off against Ellensburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cashmere, they will challenge Connell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
