Softball Recap: North Sevier Wolves vs. Monticello Buckaroo
With a playoff game on the line, North Sevier rose to the challenge on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Monticello Buckaroo with a sharp 13-3 win. Considering North Sevier has won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Addie Quarnberg was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing eight bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Zoey Rhees, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 3-for-4.
On Monticello's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Barry, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI. Tessa Slade was another key contributor, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with an RBI.
Even though they lost, Monticello didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with seven strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Sevier only tossed three.

North Sevier will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against South Sevier at 12:30 p.m. One thing working in North Sevier's favor is that they have posted big run totals in their last three matches. Monticello does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
