Basketball Game Preview: Adventure Christian Warriors vs. Pine Hills Adventist Eagles

The Adventure Christian Warriors will challenge the Pine Hills Adventist Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Adventure Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season.

Adventure Christian will head into Friday's match hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 31-point drubbing they dealt Chesterton Academy of Sacramento on Friday. Adventure Christian took their contest with ease, bagging a 78-47 win over Chesterton Academy of Sacramento. With the Warriors ahead 42-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Adventure Christian found their leader in freshman Josiah Blackwell, who shot 4-for-7 from deep and dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards. Blackwell's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Graham, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Adventure Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Pine Hills Adventist played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Victory Christian, falling 54-17. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-11.

Adventure Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Pine Hills Adventist, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Adventure Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Pine Hills Adventist in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 50-44 victory.
