Pittsburg had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Independence Bulldogs a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won 12 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Brette Pasteur was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Johnston, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs.

Pittsburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in ten consecutive games.

Pittsburg pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

Coming up, Pittsburg will host Labette County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Independence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
