Softball Recap: Draughn Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Draughn was riding high fresh off their 19-7 takedown of Mitchell last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 12-2 to the Owen Warhorses on Tuesday. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Draughn saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Winkler, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Draughn's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-2. As for Owen, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Draughn Wildcats face off against Hibriten Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Owen, they will welcome Pisgah at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
