Baseball Game Preview: Crawford Colts vs. Canyon Hills Rattlers

For the second straight game, Crawford will face off against Canyon Hills. The Colts will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rattlers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crawford has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Crawford is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Canyon Hills.

For Canyon Hills' part, Taylon Sheriff was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave Sheriff a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elijah Shoate, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Canyon Hills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Canyon Hills' win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 7-10-2. As for Crawford, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
