Baseball Recap: Flintridge Prep Comes Up Short

Flintridge Prep and Carpinteria squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Flintridge Prep had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Flintridge Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Spencer Rolfe, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Flintridge Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Carpinteria, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Flintridge Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carpinteria, they will take on New Roads at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
