Baseball Game Preview: Norwich Free Academy Wildcats vs. West Haven Blue Devils

The Norwich Free Academy Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the West Haven Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Norwich Free Academy hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Norwich Free Academy came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-2 to East Lyme. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered against the Vikings since May 4, 2021.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, West Haven was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They fell just short of Cheshire by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost four in a row.

West Haven saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Axelrod, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

West Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Norwich Free Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
