Basketball Recap: Tj Wilson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Cleveland

Bristow won the last time they faced Cleveland and things went their way on Friday too. The Bristow Pirates came out on top against the Cleveland Tigers by a score of 67-59.

Bristow's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tj Wilson led the charge by putting up 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and eight steals. That's the most boards Wilson has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayt Jackson, who went 6 for 11 to rack up 17 points and four steals.

Bristow was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Bristow's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Cleveland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bristow will welcome Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cleveland, they will be playing at home against Perkins-Tryon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
