Pisgah extends road losing streak to three

Recap: Pisgah Bears vs. West Henderson Falcons

The Pisgah Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell 76-63 to West Henderson. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Friday (56), Pisgah still had to take the loss.

Pisgah lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jake Lowery, who scored 16 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Mason Putnam, who scored 18 points along with five assists.

West Henderson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grant Putnam led the charge by scoring 23 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Lyda, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Pisgah bumped their record down to 9-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for West Henderson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pisgah will square off against Tuscola at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Tuscola comes in still looking for their first win of the season. West Henderson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against A.C. Reynolds at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. A.C. Reynolds is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 63.2 points per game.
