Volleyball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Westminster Christian Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairhope Pirates.

Azlyn Leatherwood paced Westminster Christian Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Leatherwood got some help from Gracie Deermer and her 12 assists. Leatherwood also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Tiyah Reed, racking up three apiece.

Westminster Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Fairhope, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Westminster Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Pace on the 30th. As for Fairhope, they will take on Saraland at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
