Football Recap: Spring Creek Starts Season with Win Against Carson + How To Watch

Spring Creek had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Carson Senators on Friday as they made off with a 33-13 win. The Spartans pushed the score to 33-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Senators cut but never quite recovered from.

McCoy McArtor went supernova, throwing for 147 yards and three TDs on only 14 passes, while also rushing for 52 yards and one score. Those three passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Snowdon Bear Williams was in the mix too, providing Spring Creek with two touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Spring Creek will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Sparks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Spartans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Carson, they will venture away from home to square off against Canyon Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
