Basketball Recap: Snyder Takes a Loss

Snyder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Liberty Patriots 81-35. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 102-36 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Snyder lost, don't look at Andres Martinez. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 9 to rack up 11 points.

Snyder's loss dropped their record down to 6-25. As for Liberty, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.

Coming up, Snyder will welcome Big Spring at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty, they will head out on the road to square off against Lake View at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Lake View likes a good challenge.
