Volleyball Game Preview: Doherty Spartans vs. Lutheran Lions

The Doherty Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the Lutheran Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Doherty came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Fountain-Fort Carson, falling 3-0. The Spartans have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

While Doherty was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Lutheran suffered their biggest defeat since February 27th on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Discovery Canyon.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, 25-16.

Doherty's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
