Basketball Recap: Marty Gordon and Allie Mcguire Secure Win for Bluegrass United

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Michigan HomeSchool, Bluegrass United was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Greenville H Hurricanes 37-34. This was payback for the Bluehawks, who suffered a 37-36 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Leading Bluegrass United to victory were Allie McGuire and Marty Gordon. McGuire posted nine points and five rebounds, while Gordon put up six points and four steals. McGuire has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Greenville H lost, don't look at Macie Hanley. Despite the final result, she scored nine points along with five boards and three steals. Izzy Williams was another key player, putting up four points.

Bluegrass United is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-20 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Greenville H and nudges their season record down to 17-6.
