Softball Game Preview: St. George's Gryphons vs. Houston Mustangs

The St. George's Gryphons will head out on the road to take on the Houston Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. George's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matches, but Tuesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. George's fell victim to Lexington and their airtight pitching crew on Sunday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 8-0. That's two games in a row now that the Gryphons have lost by exactly eight runs.

Meanwhile, Houston also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 10-0 to St. Benedict at Auburndale on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Houston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Logan, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Houston's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for St. George's, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
