Volleyball Recap: Pickens' Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Pickens lost against LaFayette back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dragons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ramblers. The loss put an end to the Dragons' undefeated start to the season.

Edy Wyngaard paced Pickens' offense, picking up four kills. Wyngaard got some help from Aubrey Thompson and her four assists.

LaFayette was led to victory by Anabelle Penland and Kaylee Scoggins. Penland had five aces and four digs, while Scoggins had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Scoggins has posted since back in October of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pickens fell to 3-1. As for LaFayette, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Pickens wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Sonoraville on the 7th. As for LaFayette, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Rome on the 12th.
